User Security

A sample user is included with the workspace.

User "admin" with password "demo" is used to change admin password and perform user maintenance. This user is used for exiting as well as navigating to the settings state.

Please NOTE: Do not use special characters in the password, as they will record but not allow you to access successfully these settings again and you will need to start over with a new workspace !!

To modify the functions that a user has access to, simply select the desired secured function from the top window. The lower left window will display the list of available users and the lower right window displays the users who have access to this function. Select the user you wish to grant access from the left hand box and click the > button to add them to the authorized list. To take away permissions, select the user from the right hand box and click the < button to move them to the left box.

Special Features: The "Everyone" authorization is used as a shortcut to either allow all users or deny all users access to the selected secure function. The >> button will either move all users to the authorized list or << out of the authorized list.

Secured Functions Include:

Kiosk
Users who have access can go into the locked view. If a user wishes to exit the locked view, all former authorizations are cleared and users are required to login to exit the locked view.

Settings
Users who have access can go into the Settings view.

Settings - Secured functions
Only available to the Admin User, as this option allows the setting of all security access options.

Settings - Change Admin Password
Only available to the Admin User, as this option allows the setting Admin password.

Exit Application
This option secures who can exit the Simpliciti Locked Browser application and return to the windows desktop. By securing this to only the "admin" user then only the admin user could access the windows desktop.
